These are the players who have played just one game in the NHL, and for whatever reason, never played another. Their stories are often fascinating, and they provide a glimpse into the human side of the game. In this article, we will take a look at some of the most interesting one-game wonders in NHL history.

1. Marty McSorley

Marty McSorley, A One Game Wonder In The NHL One Night Only: Conversations With The NHL S One Game Wonders

Marty McSorley is one of the most infamous players in NHL history. He was a tough guy who was known for his physical play and his willingness to drop the gloves. McSorley played 15 seasons in the NHL, but he only played one game for the Boston Bruins. That game came in the 1983-84 season, and McSorley made the most of it. He scored a goal and two assists in a 7-3 win over the Quebec Nordiques.

McSorley's career was derailed by a series of off-ice incidents. In 1992, he was suspended for 23 games for hitting an opposing player with his stick. In 1993, he was suspended for eight games for punching an opposing player in the face. In 1995, he was suspended for 20 games for hitting an opposing player with his elbow.

McSorley's last NHL game came in 1999. He finished his career with 143 points and 2,573 penalty minutes. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013.

Dan Blackburn is another one-game wonder who made a lasting impression. Blackburn was a goalie who played for the Ottawa Senators in the 2005-06 season. He played in just one game, but he made a save that will never be forgotten.

The Senators were playing the Toronto Maple Leafs in a pre-season game. The game was tied 2-2 in the third period when the Maple Leafs had a power play. Blackburn made a diving save to rob Mats Sundin of a goal. The Senators went on to win the game 3-2, and Blackburn became a legend.

Blackburn never played another NHL game. He spent the rest of his career playing in the minor leagues. But he will always be remembered for the one big save he made in the NHL.

In 2004, Danton was arrested for conspiracy to commit murder. He was convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison. Danton was released from prison in 2010, and he attempted to make a comeback in the NHL. He signed a contract with the St. Louis Blues, but he was released after just one game.

Danton's NHL career ended in disgrace. But he has since turned his life around. He is now a successful businessman and motivational speaker.
